HUD Lead Training Services
HUD's regulation (24 CFR Part 35, et al. Requirements for Notification, Evaluation and Reduction of Lead-Based Paint Hazards in Federally Owned Residential Property and Housing Receiving Federal Assistance; Final Rule) requires training for all persons performing:
interim control activities

rehabilitation that disturbs painted surfaces
-
maintenance activities required under HUD's regulation to address lead hazards

This 1-day training course presents the procedures for minimizing lead dust and soil exposure during remodeling and maintenance activities. Course includes lecture, hands-on training, and an exam at the completion of training. Topics covered include:
- lead exposure
- lead-based paint hazards
- lead safety
- planning renovation & maintenance projects that disturb lead-based paint
Sampling Technician - $150

This course includes instruction on visual assessments for clearance inspections, dust sampling, submission of samples for lead analysis and interpreting and reporting the results. This course brings together both lecture and hands-on training. There will be an exam at the end of the course.
