EPA Lead Inspector - $510

This 3-day course designed to train individuals on identifying lead-based paint. Topics will include:

  • Background of Lead
  • Uses of Lead
  • Health effects of Lead
  • Regulatory review pertaining to lead-based paint 
  • Roles & responsibilities of lead-based paint inspector
  • Lead-based paint, dust, soil & other inspection methodologies
  • Building construction & components related to lead-based paint
  • Clearance standards & testing
  • Interpretation of lead sampling results 
  • Formulation & implementation of the final inspection report

This course includes 8 hours of hands-on activities including inspection methods, sampling methodologies, laboratory result interpretation, and inspection reporting. This course qualifies students for EPA Certification as Lead Inspector and prepares students for EPA Certification Exam.

(Prerequisite: Lead Inspector) This 2-day course will present the HUD devised methods for Lead Risk Assessment Screen and full Risk Assessment.  These are methods of onsite investigations of a residential dwelling to discover lead-based paint hazards. The course content includes:
